Soriya Estes, Co-Chair

Soriya Estes is the Chair of the KMFA Board of Directors and Co-Chair of the “Dear Music” Steering Committee. Soriya has extensive experience in the field of Audiology and owns several private practice offices in Central Texas.  She received her Master’s Degree in Audiology from the University of Texas at Austin and her Doctorate of Audiology from Salus University.  Soriya has served as a guest faculty member at the University of Texas at Austin and also has served on several committees for the American Academy of Audiology.  She has spoken at regional and national forums relaying Best Practices for Audiologists in hearing healthcare clinics.  In 2005, Soriya started her first practice in New Braunfels, Texas with the philosophy of providing superior hearing healthcare services for all patients. The philosophy of service to others resonates throughout her character.

Mandy Dealey, Honorary Co-Chair

Mandy Dealey is an active member of the KMFA Board of Directors, having served as its Chair for 8 year, and an honorary Co-Chair of the “Dear Music” Steering Committee. Mandy was raised in the Dallas area and attended The Hockaday School before going on to study at The University of Texas at Austin where she earned a B.A. degree in Art History and a Master of Public Affairs degree from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs.

Mandy has been very active in civic activities on the city, state and national levels, and has served on numerous boards, councils, and committees including the Planning and Downtown Commissions for the City of Austin, Planned Parenthood of Austin, Heritage Society of Austin, Austin Community Foundation, and the Junior League of Austin. Mandy has served on the KMFA board continuously since 1999, and before that for several years in the 1980s.  She has been a member of the station since 1982.

Steve Moore, Co-Chair

Steve Moore is an active member of the KMFA Board of Directors and Co-Chair of the “Dear Music” Steering Committee. Steve graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a B.B.A. and from The University of Texas School of Law with a J.D., both with honors.  Recognized for his depth of expertise in state tax matters, Steve is one of the state’s leading attorneys for guidance on the Texas margin tax and he frequently speaks on this topic, with ongoing commitments for presentations to Texas State Bar and University of Texas CLE programs.

Steve served as a Board Member for the STEM-focused Austin Technology Council Community Foundation from 2011-2016. He is the Texas Editor for Bloomberg BNA’s Texas Corporate Income Tax Portfolio and Navigator.

Ken Stein, Vice Chair

Ken Stein is an active member of the KMFA Board of Directors and Vice Chair of the “Dear Music” Steering Committee. Ken became the League of Historic American Theatres President and CEO in 2012. Since entering the non-profit arena, Ken has raised over $100 million for local, regional, and national non-profit organizations. His accomplishments with special events and on-line fundraising have been featured in The Chronicle of Philanthropy, The NonProfit Times, InternetWeek.com, Business Week Online and Direct Marketing News. In 2008, Ken was recognized for his use of social media platforms by Fast Company Magazine which listed him as one of the most influential people on the internet during the 2008 elections. His writing has been positively reviewed by the San Francisco Chronicle, The Washington Post and Atlantic Monthly Magazine.

Andrew Teagle, Committee Member

Andrew Teagle is Senior Vice President for Strategy and Insights at the celebrated Austin advertising agency GSD&M, where he develops media strategy and positioning for major national clients. He is a KMFA Patrons Circle member and “Dear Music” supporter, and has traveled with KMFA to Round Top and Santa Fe. A native of Berkeley, California, he is a lifelong classical music lover.
